 CERAC sputtering
targets are manufactured from a wide variety of compositions
in various purity levels, allowing our customers to match targets
to their specific requirements. Many of the materials from which
our targets are manufactured are routinely synthesized in-house.
Thus, we are able to produce targets of rare or less frequently
used compositions as well as our wide array of standard items
at competitive prices. Backing plates, bonding and silver
epoxy bonding cement are also available. |

Shapes and Sizes CERAC sputtering targets are produced in many standard shapes and sizes including rings, S-Guns and circular, rectangular and triangular planar targets. Larger targets are made using inlay construction whereby two or more sections are close-fitted using overlapping joints. Custom shapes and sizes are handled through our program of made-to-order materials. Contact our sales department for details. |

Manufacturing Processes The specific manufacturing processes we use depend on the properties of the target material and the end use of the target itself. Classical and vacuum hot-pressing, cold-pressing and sintering and vacuum melting and casting are routinely employed in the production of a variety of sputtering sources. |

Quality Control Targets are inspected at all stages of production for composition, purity, density and finally for shape and dimensions. Each and every production lot of material is sent through various analytical processes, and a certificate of analysis provided with each shipment. This allows our customers to make lot-to-lot comparisons and fine tune deposition procedures if necessary. |

Delivery As part of our commitment to ensure that you receive the item you need, when you need it, CERAC has redefined our target production/stocking process to increase efficiency and decrease lead times. For your convenience, we now list lead times for standard targets in our catalog. Target lead times of 1 week or less refer to standard manufactured sizes of 1 - 8" diameter discs with 1/8" to 1/4" thicknesses.
